Experimental Painting - New Directions I
Age: 25+
Date: Tuesdays September 30 - October 21, 2008 (4 Sessions)
Time: 9:30 AM - 3:30 PM
Cost: $215 Members / $235 Non-Members
Artist Peter Kolisnyk will encourage students to experiment with the medium of their choice. Students will be encouraged to approach their work with an open mind to develop new ideas and processes. Students should bring their painting materials and a lunch.

Open studio sessions provide an uninstructed work space and an opportunity to meet with other practicing artists in the studios. Bring your own materials and a lunch. Free for Station Gallery members.
Silver Jewellery
Age: Adult

New and returning students will learn techniques of silver jewellery casting using carved wax models. Materials cost $15-30.
Drawing Fundamentals

Artist Gloria Papastavros will lead individual instruction in drawing. This course welcomes beginner, intermediate and advanced level students. Suggested material list is available through Station Gallery.
Arts Mix

Great opportunity to try new mediums! This course is divided into sessions of drawing, painting, mixed media and collage, and printmaking. Each week is a hands-on exploration of techniques and materials. No previous art experience needed, and all materials are included!

Station Gallery is honoured to host internationally acclaimed printmaker Dan Steeves as artist-in-residence. Participants of the workshop will be offered a privileged, intimate and interactive session to learn first hand the intricacies of printmaking through Dan’s contemporary processes.

Weekend Workshop: Judith Tinkl - Colour as Trickster *NEW*

Artist and quiltmaker Judith Tinkl will lead students through colour explorations and exercises to develop a deeper understanding of the basic principles of colour. Hands-on activities will use paper and fabric adhesives and material list is available through the gallery. Suitable for beginners and up.
Weekend Workshop: Scrappy Scarf *NEW*

Students will combine different fabrics and ribbon to make a stunning scarf of their own design. Great for holiday giving. Students must bring their own sewing machine and materials are an additional $15.
